Title: Lord of Stafford.  
The Stafford name: Hervey assumed the name "de Stafford" when he was recognized as lord of the barony of Stafford by right of his marriage to the heiress Millicent de Stafford. He succeeded to his wife's right in 1194. 
 
Honoured: Knight of the realm.
Connection to the manor: 4 x Great Grandfather of Hugh (son of Ralph) the first Stafford to inherit the manor.
