Titles:4th Earl of Hertford; 5th Earl of Gloucester.

The manor: Gilbert inherited the manor from his mother and held it between 1225-30.

Battles: Gilbert fought in the Barons' War. He was taken prisioner by William Marshall in 1217 but then married his daughter!

Famous event: He was present at the Magna Carta.
