1516/17-1547
Title: Earl of Surrey.
Literary achievement: Founder of English Renaissance poetry.
Battles: Served in Henry VIII in the French wars as Lieutenant General of the King on Sea and Land.
Ancestry: Cousin of Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard.
His demise: Henry VIII had Henry imprisoned, he was beheaded on 19 January 1547 on a charge of treasonably quartering the royal arms
 
Connection to the manor: 2 x Great Grandfather of William the first Howard to own the manor.  
Father Thomas Howard 3rd Duke of Norfolk.
Mother Elizabeth Stafford.
